Keep your oncology plan in place

A cancer diagnosis can bring questions that do not fit neatly into one appointment: what to ask about nutrition, how to discuss supplements, or whether additional support belongs in your schedule. Nicole Saleske, FNP-BC, APNP, considers those questions in the context of your diagnosis, current treatment, medications, recent lab results, and priorities.

Your oncologist remains responsible for your cancer treatment. Eden does not provide chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or a cancer diagnosis. Do not delay or change recommended treatment to visit Eden. Tell your oncology team about any complementary care you are considering, especially before starting a supplement or therapy.

Nicole is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She is Certified in IV Nutritional Therapy in Oncology (IIVNTP) and a graduate of the Advanced Training with Mistletoe Apprenticeship Program (PAAM). You can read more about Nicole’s training and Eden’s approach.

Plan in-person visits from Wisconsin Rapids

Eden has one clinic; find its address on our contact page. There is no Wisconsin Rapids office. For someone living in Wisconsin Rapids or nearby in Wood County, that distinction matters: each in-person appointment means planning time away from home while keeping existing oncology visits on the calendar.

Bring your oncology appointment dates into the first conversation. Ask which Eden appointments require a in-person visit, what information the team needs before each one, and whether a proposed frequency of visits is workable for you. Your clinical needs determine the plan; a convenient travel schedule alone should not determine which care you receive.

If travel would add too much to an already demanding schedule, it is reasonable to continue discussing supportive-care questions with your existing medical team. You do not need to commit to repeated clinic trips before learning what Eden’s process involves.

What does the four-appointment onboarding involve?

Eden’s cancer onboarding spans four appointments, with lab work and a full review of an individualized care plan. The initial Discovery Call is a fit conversation, not a cancer consultation or one of the four clinical appointments.

During onboarding, Nicole reviews your history, oncology plan, medications, supplements, concerns, and relevant testing before discussing what support may be appropriate. The order, timing, and in-person requirements of the four appointments should be confirmed with Eden for your situation. Do not assume the visits can be combined into one trip or held remotely.

The outcome of onboarding is a care plan to discuss and reassess as your circumstances change, not a promise that a particular therapy will be recommended. Eden’s Holistic Cancer Care overview explains its individualized approach.

Which supportive options might be discussed?

Depending on your clinical review, a conversation may include nutrition and daily routines, lab findings, or whether a service such as IV Therapy belongs in your plan. A service being available does not mean it is appropriate alongside every oncology treatment. If you are receiving chemotherapy or radiation, read more about how Eden considers timing and eligibility during treatment.

No Eden therapy is presented as a cancer cure or as a way to make chemotherapy work better. Nicole reviews possible options in light of your oncology guidance, rather than starting with a preset list of therapies.

FAQ

Do I need to transfer my cancer care?

  1. Keep your existing oncologist and oncology appointments. Eden’s visits take place at its clinic and are intended as complementary support, not a transfer of cancer treatment.

Can I plan all four onboarding appointments in one trip?

Do not count on that. Eden’s onboarding has four appointments, but their timing and in-person requirements depend on the clinical process. Ask the team what the sequence would mean for travel from Wisconsin Rapids before making arrangements.

What should I have ready for the Discovery Call?

Be ready to describe where you are in your oncology plan, what kind of support you are seeking, and whether in-person visits are realistic. The call is a fit check; Nicole’s clinical recommendations come after an appropriate review.
