When it comes to chronic disease and aging, the one element that everyone has in common is decreased oxygen utilization. When cells can no longer convert the energy that is trapped within oxygen and use it for any of the body’s processes that require oxygen to function, the body slows down and disease develops. When oxygen utilization is optimal, the cells have all the energy they need and healing can occur.

Ozone therapy involves the use of ozone gas (O₃) to improve the body’s overall health by stimulating healing and supporting the immune response. Ozone is a molecule made up of three oxygen atoms, and while it’s a reactive form of oxygen, when used in controlled, medical amounts, it can provide therapeutic benefits.

We have 2 options available for ozone treatment.

Major Auto Hemotherapy (MAH)

This is a simple and fast procedure in which blood is extracted from the vein via an IV catheter. The blood is mixed with normal saline and heparinized to keep the blood from clotting. Ozone is injected into the bag, and the blood is rocked back and forth. During this process, you will see the blood turn bright red. Once ozonated, the blood is returned to the body so the ozone can begin doing its work.

Extra-Corporeal Blood Ozonation and Oxygenation (EBOO)

EBOO is a procedure in which a vein is accessed in each arm. Blood is pulled from one arm via a pump. The blood is mixed with heparin and run through a filter. The filter is what differentiates EBOO from MAH. EBOO covers 420,000x the surface area of blood than you get in a single MAH. The blood is then ozonated and will turn a bright red before returning to the other arm.

How Ozone Therapy Works

Ozone therapy works by introducing ozone into the body in specific ways, such as through injection, insufflation (inhaling the gas), or mixing it with blood (autohemotherapy). Here’s how it helps:

Oxygenation: Ozone increases the amount of oxygen in your body. This can improve circulation and oxygen delivery to tissues, helping your organs and cells function more efficiently.

Supports the Immune Response: Ozone can stimulate the immune system to become more active. It can increase the production of certain immune cells and antioxidants, which help the body fight off infections and inflammation.

Antioxidant Effects: When ozone interacts with the body, it triggers the production of antioxidants, which help neutralize harmful free radicals. This can reduce oxidative stress, a key factor in aging and chronic diseases.

Fights Chronic Inflammation: Many chronic diseases, like arthritis, heart disease, and diabetes, are linked to inflammation. Ozone can help reduce chronic inflammation, potentially preventing or alleviating these conditions.

Improved Cellular Repair: By increasing oxygen delivery to cells and boosting antioxidant production, ozone can help repair damaged tissues and slow the aging of cells. This may reduce the appearance of aging and improve overall vitality.

Enhanced Circulation and Energy: Ozone can improve blood flow, helping your body deliver oxygen and nutrients more efficiently. This can lead to higher energy levels, improved endurance, and better overall wellness.

Detoxification and Preventing Disease: As ozone promotes detoxification and helps remove harmful toxins from your system, it may reduce your risk of developing chronic conditions associated with the accumulation of these toxins, such as autoimmune diseases and cancer.

However, it’s important to consult with a qualified healthcare provider to determine if ozone therapy is suitable for your specific health needs.
