Do I have to be able to climb into the chamber on my own?
We now have an option for patients who need it. Our newer chamber includes a seat that slides in and out on a track, allowing you to sit down comfortably outside the chamber and be gently guided in — no climbing or lying down required. This chamber is available for patients for whom entry into our original chamber isn’t possible, including some of our elderly patients and those going through cancer treatment.
Is HBOT appropriate for patients with significant health challenges?
Every patient is evaluated individually before beginning treatment, and our team tailors each session to fit your specific health needs. The accessible seat was added so more patients have the option to safely receive HBOT as part of an individualized care plan alongside their existing medical team.
Can I communicate with the team during my session?
Yes. Both of our chambers include a communication system, so you can stay in contact with our staff the entire time you’re inside.
How many sessions will I need?
HBOT works cumulatively, similar to physical therapy. Most patients see the best results over a series of sessions rather than a single visit. Your provider will recommend a treatment plan based on your goals, medical history, and existing care.
Can I use HBOT alongside my current cancer treatment?
HBOT at Eden Healing Oasis is offered as a complementary therapy, never in place of care from your oncology team. We encourage an ongoing conversation with your existing providers, and patients currently in cancer treatment should discuss HBOT with their oncologist before beginning.
