COMPLEMENTARY CANCER SUPPORT

Integrative Support During Chemotherapy and Radiation

Cancer treatment can place new demands on your body, schedule, and emotional well-being. Eden Healing Oasis provides personalized, complementary support for patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation. Our role is not to replace your oncology plan, but to consider the whole person and explore appropriate support through treatment and recovery.

An “And” Approach to Cancer Care

You should not have to choose between your oncology team and whole-person support.

Eden’s approach is designed to complement appropriate cancer care. Any recommendation must be considered in the context of your diagnosis, medications, treatment dates, recent laboratory results, symptoms, and oncology guidance.

Why Patients Seek Support

  • Energy changes
  • Hydration and nutrition challenges
  • Sleep disruption
  • Stress and emotional strain
  • Recovery between oncology appointments
  • Questions about supplements or supportive therapies
  • Maintaining strength and quality of life during a demanding season

Your needs may change throughout treatment, so your supportive plan should be reviewed as your clinical picture changes.

Timing and Eligibility Matter

Not every therapy is right for every person, and a therapy that is reasonable at one stage may not be appropriate at another.

Before making recommendations, the Eden team may review your diagnosis, treatment schedule, medications, supplements, recent laboratory results, symptoms, medical devices, planned procedures, and guidance from your oncology team.

The Right Tool at the Right Time

Eden offers services including IV therapy, ozone therapies, hyperbaric oxygen, mistletoe, localized hyperthermia, Flowpresso, detox foot baths, and photodynamic therapy.

These services are not a checklist. Listing them does not mean they are appropriate during chemotherapy or radiation. Clinical review, timing, contraindications, and your oncology plan determine whether any option should be considered.

What to Bring to Your Consultation

  • Your diagnosis and relevant pathology information
  • Your oncology treatment plan and schedule
  • A current medication and supplement list
  • Recent laboratory results
  • Relevant imaging or visit summaries
  • Information about recent procedures or planned surgery
  • Your main symptoms, concerns, and questions

Do not start, stop, or change cancer treatment, medication, or supplements without guidance from the appropriate licensed clinician.

Body, Mind, and Spirit

Eden’s faith-based environment recognizes that cancer affects more than the physical body. Our goal is to provide a calm place where your concerns are heard and your supportive plan reflects your medical needs, daily life, and personal values.

Results cannot be guaranteed, and every patient responds differently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I receive integrative care while undergoing chemotherapy?

Possibly, but eligibility and timing require individual clinical review. Your chemotherapy drugs, schedule, symptoms, laboratory results, and oncology guidance all matter.

Can I receive supportive care during radiation therapy?

Support may be considered during radiation, but recommendations must account for the treatment area, schedule, current symptoms, and instructions from your radiation oncology team.

Could supplements or supportive therapies interfere with cancer treatment?

Interactions and contraindications are possible. Provide a complete list of medications and supplements, and do not begin or discontinue anything without review by the appropriate clinician.

Do I need permission from my oncologist?

That depends on the service and your medical situation. Eden encourages open communication with your oncology team, and some options may require oncology input before proceeding.

Can integrative care prevent chemotherapy or radiation side effects?

No specific outcome can be promised. Supportive care may focus on hydration, nutrition, energy, stress, sleep, and recovery, but each person’s experience is different.

What happens if my blood counts or other lab results change?

Tell Eden about updated results and changes to your treatment plan. A provider may need to modify, delay, or avoid a service based on your current clinical picture.

Can appointments be planned between chemotherapy cycles?

Timing is individualized. Your provider must consider your treatment schedule, recovery pattern, laboratory results, symptoms, and oncology precautions.

Does Eden replace my cancer treatment team?

No. Eden provides complementary support and does not replace your oncologist, chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or medical follow-up.
